Newest OpenStax textbook provides essential workplace skills to students

OpenStax’s newest textbook, “Workplace Software and Skills,” addresses the evolving needs of college and university students preparing for their careers with free, customizable resources. Just like the other 65 textbooks freely available in Rice University’s OpenStax library, this textbook is openly licensed and peer-reviewed.

Participants receive support from experts in institutional change management and strategic initiatives aimed at increasing campus use of free, openly licensed OpenStax textbooks.

Partnership to develop free education resources for nursing students

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) and Rice University's OpenStax are building on their existing partnership to address staffing shortages in the nursing profession and reduce financial barriers for nursing students. In collaboration with postsecondary institutions in Texas and stakeholders nationwide, OpenStax will launch a comprehensive free online curriculum for nursing education in spring 2024.
