The work of the late John Bryant, a former professor emeritus in Rice’s Department of Economics, was cited in the summary of the 2022 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences. Bryant’s pathbreaking work was recognized as sharing key features with two of the winners, Douglas Diamond and Philip Dybvig.
