Rice kicks off Latine Heritage Month with festivities, food

Rice’s Grand Hall was boisterously filled with students, music and festivities as the university began its many celebrations as part of Hispanic Heritage Month. Themed “Latine Heritage Month,” the festivities include programming across campus through Oct. 17 that spotlight the pride, passion and progress of Latine communities while also acknowledging the ongoing work toward greater recognition, representation and empowerment.

Validity offers a novel approach to academic credential verification through a platform integrated directly with the Office of the Registrar's website.

Rice Dining introduces kosher options to campus

Rice is introducing a kosher serving station in Seibel Servery, enhancing its already diverse array of dining choices. This new addition, which will be available starting this fall, reflects Rice's ongoing commitment meeting the diverse cultural and religious needs of its student body, said David McDonald, assistant vice president of housing and dining.

'Elevating the dining experience’: Rice welcomes Local Foods to Brochstein Pavilion

Rice University inked a deal with the restaurant group LFG to bring Local Foods to campus as a vendor at Brochstein Pavilion. The new dining option will open this fall to offer coffee, pastries, fresh pastas, stone cooked pizzas, beer, wine and more.

On the second morning of O-Week, Rice University’s Class of 2028 assembled in Tudor Fieldhouse to hear advice from a three-person panel of professors who shared their secrets for success — both at Rice and beyond. The faculty delivered short, TED Talk-style lectures encouraging new students to stay open to the possibilities the university offers.

Rice Emerging Scholars Program wraps 13th summer of operation
