Rice Update: Continuing support for our international students

As we head into the Memorial Day weekend, Rice and its Office of International Students and Scholars are closely monitoring the action taken by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Thursday to terminate Harvard University’s Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) certification, which could end Harvard’s permission to host international students. As of Friday morning, a federal judge has temporarily halted the administration’s move.
