The Rice University campus gathered together to create a screecher of an event: pumpkin carving. No gourd was left untouched as Owls collected to wreak havoc on the fruit du jour while also sharing their creativity.

Kesem at Rice holds team-bonding ‘Olympics’

Kesem at Rice threw an outdoor competition-themed social to enjoy the fall weather and inspire team-bonding among its many volunteers. The festivities, held on a knoll outside Brochstein Pavilion, included games like cup stacking, face the cookie, spoon-and-egg races and tug of war.

Our Heritage Month wraps with day of festivities

Rice closed out Our Heritage Month with a fun-filled day of events at the Rice Memorial Center Oct. 15. The day began in the Grand Hall where nearly 200 people gathered for “Nuestra Herencia,” a program filled with music, dance, fellowship and food.
RUPD hosts National Night Out

The Rice University Police Department hosted National Night Out at the Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center Oct. 5. Attendees enjoyed free food, drinks, games and the chance to dunk a police officer in a tub of water.

Rice Owls gathered for a night of festivities at Rice Memorial Center during the Hispanic Association for Cultural Enrichment at Rice Game Night, one of the many events planned throughout Our Heritage Month to celebrate Latine culture and traditions and to reflect on past and current social issues on campus Sept. 15-Oct. 15.
