More than 700 of Rice University’s advanced degree recipients crossed the stage to thunderous applause and cheers from family, friends, faculty and staff during an afternoon graduation ceremony May 4 in Tudor Fieldhouse.

Rice invests in Center for Environmental Studies to advance research goals, increase impact
Rice University is refocusing its efforts on the Center for Environmental Studies (CES) in order to enhance and advance the center’s research goals and initiatives regarding environmental issues in our society.
The centers are the Rice Center for Nanoscale Imaging Sciences, Synthesis X Center, Center for Environmental Studies, Center for Latin American and Latinx Studies, and Center for Coastal Futures and Adaptive Resilience.
