ConnectSmart app to enhance transportation options for Rice community

Houston ConnectSmart, a program deployed by the Texas Department of Transportation, is now available to the Rice community to aid transportation sustainability efforts. The app is available for download and will link Owls to create eco-friendly travel options to get to and from campus and around the city. It is available to anyone with a rice.edu email address.

Rice University hosted representatives from Tuskegee University March 27 and 28 to discuss opportunities regarding academic and research collaborations. The two universities signed a memorandum of understanding to pursue such efforts.

Rice University’s Junichiro Kono has assumed leadership of the Smalley-Curl Institute, named for Nobel Laureates Richard Smalley and Robert Curl ’54 and home to some of the world’s most accomplished researchers in nanoscience, quantum science and materials science.
