Venezuelan artist and educator Gerardo Rosales unveiled his latest mural Oct. 15 at the Moody Center for the Arts in an evening full of music and merriment, as guests danced to Venezuelan tunes, chatted with Rosales, enjoyed tacos on the patio and explored the Moody's fall exhibition, "The Sand Recalls the Moon’s Shadow.”

“¡Displaced Mundo!” was created with the assistance of Rice undergraduate students and is the inaugural work for a new collaborative project, Moody Project Wall, which aims to foster cross-campus student engagement with Houston-based artists by creating original artwork each semester.
