The Brain House at Davos: Rice is helping lead brain health innovation at World Economic Forum

The Brain House at the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) upcoming annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, is a marquee platform designed to spotlight the critical importance of brain health and how innovation in “brain capital” can address some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Sponsored by Rice University for the second consecutive year, The Brain House hosted by the Davos Alzheimer’s Collaborative Jan. 20-24 will showcase a series of events featuring leading experts in health and innovation who are advancing global brain health.

Economist Peter Rodriguez, dean of the Jones Graduate School of Business and the Virani Undergraduate School of Business at Rice, has been appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Houston Branch board of directors by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. The Houston Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed and three appointed by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.

Tommy Pan Fang, assistant professor of strategic management at Rice, has been named to Poets&Quants’ list of 50 Best Undergraduate Professors. Pan Fang was chosen from among 1,000 nominations, and at age 30, he is one of the youngest professors on the list, which represents 43 schools, including five international institutions.
