RUPD’s Rodriguez new president of Houston-area police chiefs association

Rice University Police Department Chief Clemente Rodriguez was sworn in as the Houston Area Police Chiefs Association (HAPCA) president this week.

HAPCA was formed in 1988, and its membership includes police chiefs, sheriffs, command staff and line officers of city, county, state, federal, college/university, transit, medical center, school and special law enforcement agencies from seven counties in the Greater Houston area.

Rodriguez joined Rice as a patrol officer in 2001 and became RUPD chief in 2020.
