Rice Business Dean Peter Rodriguez appointed to Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Houston Branch board of directors

Economist Peter Rodriguez, dean of the Jones Graduate School of Business and the Virani Undergraduate School of Business at Rice, has been appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Houston Branch board of directors by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. The Houston Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed and three appointed by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.

Pan Fang named among top 50 undergraduate business professors by Poets&Quants

Tommy Pan Fang, assistant professor of strategic management at Rice, has been named to Poets&Quants’ list of 50 Best Undergraduate Professors. Pan Fang was chosen from among 1,000 nominations, and at age 30, he is one of the youngest professors on the list, which represents 43 schools, including five international institutions.

Rice has launched the Center for Customer-Based Execution and Strategy (C-CUBES), housed within the Jones Graduate School of Business. The center is dedicated to researching, understanding and sharing customer-centered concepts and practices with for-profit and nonprofit organizations. It will serve as a hub for research scholars, business executives and nonprofit leaders to improve customer value, employee engagement and shareholder returns.
