Economist Peter Rodriguez, dean of the Jones Graduate School of Business and the Virani Undergraduate School of Business at Rice, has been appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ Houston Branch board of directors by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. The Houston Branch board consists of seven members, four appointed by the Dallas Fed and three appointed by the Federal Reserve Board of Governors in Washington, D.C.

Tommy Pan Fang, assistant professor of strategic management at Rice, has been named to Poets&Quants’ list of 50 Best Undergraduate Professors. Pan Fang was chosen from among 1,000 nominations, and at age 30, he is one of the youngest professors on the list, which represents 43 schools, including five international institutions.

Rice’s Jones Graduate School of Business has taken the No. 1 spot in The Princeton Review and Entrepreneurship magazines’ rankings of top schools for graduate entrepreneurship programs for the sixth year running.
