Rice University will celebrate a historic milestone May 8–9 as it confers degrees upon 3,066 students — the largest graduating class in the university’s history — during its 113th commencement ceremonies.

The class includes 1,367 undergraduates, along with 20 students earning professional degrees in architecture, 1,429 master’s degree recipients and 207 doctoral candidates.
The undergraduate ceremony will feature an address from John Green , the No. 1 New York Times bestselling author, educator and global YouTube creator. The event will be livestreamed, and media are welcome to attend in person or use clips from the livestream in coverage.
