The annual stair climb provides an opportunity for participants to come together in remembrance and reflection, while honoring the courage and sacrifice of those affected by the Sept. 11 attacks. Last year’s Rice Stadium event drew dozens of participants from Naval ROTC programs, Rice and the surrounding community. Participants climbed the stadium stairs 28 times, matching the roughly 2,200 steps it would take to reach the top of the World Trade Center’s 110 stories.

Media planning to attend the stair climb should RSVP with Andrew Bell at ab208@rice.edu.
