Chabad at Rice and Houston Hillel co-hosted a Jewish student reception Oct. 30 at the home of Rice University President Reginald and Paula DesRoches. The gathering brought together members of the university’s Jewish community for an evening of connection, food and celebration.
In addition to Rice’s first family, Rabbi Shmuli and Nechama Slonim, co-directors of Chabad at Rice, and Rabbi Kenny Weiss of Houston Hillel were also present to welcome guests. The event highlighted the spirit of partnership and collaboration between Chabad, Houston Hillel and the university in supporting Jewish life on campus and in the community.
