
Rice University’s Doerr Institute for New Leaders capped off the 2024-25 academic year with its annual Leadership Celebration April 24 in Ray Courtyard, honoring a year marked by robust student engagement and impact.
“Academic year 2024-2025 was characterized by tremendous student involvement in Doerr Institute programs,” said Bernie Banks, director of the institute. “Their intrepid efforts were awe inspiring and impactful. The Rice community is serving as a powerful example of what intentional leader development can foster.”
The festive event brought together students, faculty and staff to celebrate accomplishments and milestones from the past school year. Attendees enjoyed cupcakes, played leadership-themed bingo and posed for photos with Sammy the Owl.
