Rice At Large, the quarterly newsletter that showcases Rice University’s outreach programs, is now available online.
The latest edition features detailed articles focused on a multitude of happenings that involve the Rice community: Priyanka Senthil ’24 proved her powerhouse abilities to support underserved communities in India and the United States; partnerships like the Take Flight STEM Pathway program and the Rice University School Mathematics Project are enriching up-and-coming students; investments in launchpads like the Innovator Spotlight workshop are creating the building blocks of the future; fellowship with the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto in Houston is planting the seeds of leadership; and much more.
“These stories are just a small sample of the ripple effect Rice creates within the Houston area and how it spreads across the world,” said David Medina, director of multicultural community relations. “While that may seem like a lofty goal, the articles included in Rice At Large demonstrate that seemingly impossible goals are in fact becoming possible realities thanks to the hard work, dedication and innovative spirit found within Rice’s faculty, staff, students and our surrounding community.”
