
Rice University will host the 2025 Carbon Hub Annual Meeting May 12-13, marking the fifth anniversary of the Rice-led coalition of academia, industry and federal labs working to advance industrial decarbonization, electrification and hydrogen production.
The event will feature panels with researchers, foundations and industry partners on the role of public-private partnerships, the introduction of materials into applications and the big science questions to accelerate the energy and materials transition. The event will also include technical updates by the Carbon Hub collaborators stemming from more than 15 research institutions. Attendees will hear from thought leaders shaping a sustainable carbon economy built on transforming hydrocarbons into advanced materials to house, move, clothe, power and feed people.
