CERAWeek, an annual energy conference organized by the information and insights company S&P Global, kicked off March 10, and Rice University experts are presenting their work on the energy transition at the event.
Haotian Wang and Carrie Masiello were the first Rice representatives to present and each hosted a dedicated session to their scientific work.

Wang, associate professor of chemical and biomolecular engineering, explained how electrolyzers and electrolysis can benefit the energy industry. Masiello, the W. Maurice Ewing Professor of Biogeochemistry and director of Rice’s Sustainability Institute, described nature-based solutions for CO2 removal.
The remainder of the week features Rice’s Kenneth Medlock, Ramesh Ramamoorthy, Paul Cherukuri and more. See the rest of the line up here.
