Findings from the 2025 Kinder Houston Area Survey, the nation’s longest-running metropolitan study of its kind, will be released May 19 by Rice University’s Kinder Institute for Urban Research at its annual luncheon at the Hilton Americas-Houston.
Now in its 44th year, the survey utilizes the largest survey panel in its history, now one of the largest panels dedicated to a single urban area. The Greater Houston Community Panel now comprises over 10,000 members — more than 5,700 residents in the city and Harris County, nearly 3,500 residents in Fort Bend County and almost 2,400 residents in Montgomery County. This three-county region represents 1 in 5 Texans.
The luncheon also celebrates the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Kinder Institute.
