Rice University has admitted a record number of students to the Class of 2030 through its Early Decision I and QuestBridge match programs, reflecting continued growth in undergraduate enrollment and the university’s commitment to access and opportunity.

The university admitted 447 Early Decision I applicants and 128 QuestBridge Match scholars — the largest cohorts ever from those admission pools. QuestBridge connects high-achieving, low-income students with top universities across the country, expanding access to a Rice education for students from a wide range of backgrounds.

The video featured above captures the unforgettable moment many of these future Owls learned of their admission, as students open their acceptance letters online and react with joy, surprise and emotion alongside family and friends.

For the Class of 2030, the excitement is just beginning. These newly admitted students will arrive on campus in August for O-Week, joining Rice’s growing undergraduate community and beginning the next chapter of their academic journeys.
