Rice University’s chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national political science honor society, inducted 21 new members and recognized 16 graduating seniors during its annual ceremony April 23 in Kraft Hall.

The ceremony featured remarks from chapter adviser Joseph Cozza, assistant teaching professor of political science, and a keynote address by Brett Ashley Leeds, the Radoslav Tsanoff Professor of Political Science and department chair, who offered thoughts on international order and cooperation among nations.

“These outstanding students have developed not only political knowledge but skills in critical thinking, empirical analysis and communication,” Leeds said. “The world needs their expertise now more than ever.”
