Clemente Rodriguez, chief of police and director of public safety for the Rice University Police Department, participated in a press conference with new Houston Mayor John Whitmire and Houston Police Chief Troy Finner to discuss high priority issues surrounding the city’s public safety Jan. 4.

Rodriguez was representing the Houston Area Police Chiefs Association (HAPCA) as its current president. HAPCA is committed to professional excellence by providing a network of seasoned law enforcement peers from all of the law enforcement entities serving the Houston region.
