Staff from all across Rice University’s campus came together May 15 to enjoy ice cream and celebrate the start of summer.
The West Servery hosted hundreds of staff while members of Staff Council and Rice leadership served up the delicious scoops. The most popular flavor this year was strawberry.
“It’s our most popular event,” said Lisa O’Connor, Staff Council’s social connections chair.
Staff Council aims to build a collaborative staff community, facilitate professional growth and networking and create a culture of staff advocacy and partnership with the university’s administration that serves to support Rice’s mission.
