Rice University participated in the 46th annual Original MLK Parade thanks to a dedicated roster of staff, students and Sammy The Owl.
The parade honored Martin Luther King Jr. and Black History Month by showcasing the contributions and achievements of African Americans and others throughout history.
The parade, originally scheduled in January, was postponed due to a winter freeze.
