On Feb. 8, 33 Rice Sport Management students traveled to Las Vegas to work the NFL Honors as red carpet talent escorts for VIPs at the annual awards show.

The ceremony is held on the Thursday before the Super Bowl in the game’s host city. Rice’s Department of Sport Management has been sending student volunteers to the NFL Honors since the Super Bowl was held in Houston in 2017.

“We’re so fortunate to have made a deep connection with the company that hires talent escorts every year,” said Tom Stallings , a professor in the practice and intern coordinator for sport management. “They have continued to ask our students to return, for which we are so grateful. Through this connection, our students have also had the opportunity to work at the ESPYs, the Golden Globes and the NHL Awards . These are truly unforgettable opportunities for our students.”
