Now 2-1 on the season, the Owls’ won their last game 76-58 over the University of South Alabama Nov. 11. This followed a thrilling 61-60 win against North Carolina A&T State University after Rice rallied from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

Five different Rice players scored in double figures against South Alabama led by Emily Klaczek and Victoria Flores with 12 points each. Shelby Hayes had 11 points, and Dominique Ennis and Hailey Adams each scored 10.

“It’s great to stack back-to-back wins,” said Lindsay Edmonds, the Shelley Pennington and Friends Head Coach. “I’m really proud of our team’s effort. I always think we are at our best when we have multiple (players) in double figures.

“Overall, really happy with the win, stacking back-to-back wins and ready for more."
