Volunteers for the Rice Women’s Resource Center gathered recently at Ray Courtyard for a “Paint and Sip” team-bonding event. The volunteers got to know one another as they painted wine glasses, shot glasses, drinking glasses and other assorted materials while enjoying boba teas.
Through a series of educational and social events and programs, the center actively engages with diverse identities and facilitates critical discussion of gender issues. The center also serves as an innovative platform and safe space for expression and development of philosophies and ideologies.
A group of more than 60 volunteers work shifts at the center throughout the year to make sure it remains open and staffed. The center is located in the Rice Memorial Center, Room 122.
