Two Rice Athletics staff members have received recognition for their noteworthy efforts and longevity in promoting Owl sports. Dan McGarry, associate athletic director of facilities, event management and capital projects at Rice, is the winner of the 2023 Facility Manager of the Year Award from the Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association. Chuck Pool, assistant athletic director/athletic communications, was honored by the College Sports Communicators with a 25-Year Award.
