Rice’s incoming class received a crash course in Rice athletics on the third day of O-Week as they flocked to Tudor Fieldhouse for Rice Rally, a pep rally to introduce new Owls to the teams they’ll be rooting for in the coming years.
New students and their upperclassmen advisers entered Tudor decked out in their residential college gear as Rice mascot Sammy the Owl danced around the court, encouraging each college to get louder. The students then set their intercollegiate rivalries aside to cheer on each team as they were showcased one by one.
The Class of 2027 was encouraged to show its support during all Rice sporting events this upcoming school year and beyond.
