Rice President Reginald DesRoches and his wife, University Associate Paula DesRoches, provided courtside support for the Owls men's basketball team as it took on the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Jan. 26 at Tudor Fieldhouse. Rice extended its winning streak to four games by claiming a 65-63 victory thanks to two free throws by Quincy Olivari in the final seconds.
The streak was snapped in a 70-52 loss to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Jan. 28.
