The Rice men's tennis team bid farewell to Conference USA by hosting the league tournament April 21-23 at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
Rice fell to the University of Alabama at Birmingham 4-3 in the quarterfinals, despite a furious rally late to make things interesting. The Owls finished the season 12-10.
Middle Tennessee State University ended up claiming its fourth consecutive C-USA title, defeating the University of Texas at San Antonio 4-0 in the championship matchup.
