Business leaders, strategists and technologists from the energy industry attended the first International Workshop on AI-Powered Renewable Energy April 17-18 at the Ion innovation hub. Rice University's AI Houston hosted the workshop, which boasted speakers from global companies such as Schlumberger, Microsoft, Accenture and Nvidia, as well as startups and higher education.
The first day featured AI leaders and technologists speaking about the state of the art in AI and the second day featured two tracks: wind; and carbon capture/storage and geothermal energy. AI Houston held the workshop in collaboration with Schlumberger Innovation Factori, Microsoft and Accenture.
