Rice University’s Black Student Association (BSA) welcomed new students to campus Aug. 13 at Herring Hall. Guests were treated to refreshments as they mingled with classmates and learned more about the campus community. Since its inception in the 1970s, BSA has advocated for and supported the university’s Black community while also offering opportunities for all Rice Owls to get involved in outreach, social and cultural events.
