Continuing a time-honored O-Week tradition, Rice President Reginald DesRoches hosted his first President’s Welcome dinner for all incoming students at Rice, held this year in Founder’s Court with the gorgeous backdrop of Lovett Hall’s iconic Sallyport.

As always, the Goode Company-catered event eventually turned into a dance party replete with a DJ spinning upbeat tunes. The playlist included this year’s official O-Week song — “Memories” by electronic music star David Guetta — played while students danced in unison to this year’s O-Week dance, which was carefully choreographed by residential college O-Week coordinators over the summer and taught to new students by eager upperclassman advisers.
