Before the final show on his latest tour, country music legend Garth Brooks spoke to a group of Rice student athletes, an event held in conjunction with the nonprofit Teammates for Kids Foundation. As part of the group’s Teammates Stay In The Game program, Brooks addressed the athletes alongside famed NFL punter Shane Lechler, who after playing at Texas A&M had a record-breaking, All-Pro career with the Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans before retiring in 2019.
