The Rice women's and men's basketball teams completed regular-season play over the weekend, and the Conference USA Championships are on tap this week.

The women enter postseason play on a roll, having won three straight games and six of their last seven to finish 13-12 overall and 8-9 in C-USA play. Their latest triumphs came against the University of Texas at El Paso March 3 (pictured), 82-62, and the University of Texas at San Antonio March 5, 86-48, both at Tudor Fieldhouse. The Owls are the West division's No. 4 seed for the conference tournament, in which they begin play against Marshall University at 11 a.m. March 9 in Frisco, Texas.

The men dropped a pair of road games in the final week of the regular season, falling to UTEP 70-67 March 3 and UTSA 82-71 March 5. They enter the C-USA tournament as the West division's No. 5 seed at 15-15 overall and 7-11 in league play, and will face Charlotte at 5:30 p.m. March 9 in Frisco.
