Rice partnered with the Angolan Consulate in Houston for a celebration of “Women Through the Lens of Angola” at a March 26 event co-hosted by the Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication (CLIC) and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. The afternoon event brought Angolan food, art, dress and dance to the courtyard outside the Humanities building, as CLIC director Hélade Santos said, to highlight Rice’s relationship with the Angolan Consulate and spotlight Rice’s courses in Portuguese, the official language of the Southern African country.
