The ConocoPhillips Applied Mathematics Program (aka AMP!) administered by Rice’s Office of STEM Engagement kicked off a new year with a July 6 visit by teachers to Minute Maid Park, where they saw the Houston Astros play the Kansas City Royals. The program aims to improve science, technology, engineering and mathematics education in K-12 classrooms in Greater Houston. Participants got together at Minute Maid before the game for a lowdown on the semester to come. Join them for the annual Engineering Research Symposium for Teachers July 22 at Rice. Register by July 13 here: https://riceuniversity.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0dlp9R3FhQ3BVRA.
