After beating Aggies and Frogs, Rice women 7-0 for first time

The Rice women’s basketball team is off to a program-best 7-0 start following a 66-58 victory over Texas A&M University Nov. 27 in College Station and a 68-58 win against Texas Christian University Dec. 2 at Tudor Fieldhouse.

The Owls downed the Aggies behind 16 points from Ashlee Austin, setting off a celebration in the visitors' locker room at Reed Arena.

Rice followed that with another triumph over a major conference opponent, never trailing against TCU. Austin had 18 points and Katelyn Crosthwait added 14.
