After a major winter storm hit Texas last week, Lovett College residents wasted no time in assembling to take care of their community. Student volunteers spent Thursday and Friday phoning their associates to check in.
"Our associates have always been there to support Lovett in all of our endeavors, so we wanted to take a moment and offer our help back," said Aayushi Shah, one of Lovett's associates coordinators. "Lovett and Rice were fortunate enough to not be significantly impacted by the winter storm, but many in our community were not as fortunate."
The student volunteers also organized a donation drive and housed impacted off-campus Lovetteers on campus.
