New work from the 2021-22 cohort of Visual and Dramatic Arts (VADA) seniors on the Studio Art track debuted Nov. 12 in the Sleepy Cyborg Gallery. “As Yeast: Bodies in Space” brought all of the seniors’ work into a single gallery space for the first time, with an exhibition that included an opening reception in the courtyard of Sewall Hall.
The multimedia collection of paintings, drawings, photography and prints draws from 14 distinct practices to collectively challenge and complicate what it means to be embodied, including ideas around aging, fluidity and death. “As Yeast: Bodies in Space” runs through Nov. 21.
