In honor of World Teachers' Day, Rice's Anderson-Clarke Center was illuminated in blue Oct. 5 to shine a light on those who have taught through overwhelming circumstances during the last year and a half. Teaching candidates in the Glasscock School of Continuing Studies' programs who are doing field residencies also tied blue ribbons around trees on their campuses to celebrate the day. The program has helped Houston teachers and teaching candidates address changes to the delivery of education amid the COVID-19 pandemic through virtual pedagogies. (Photos by Jeff Fitlow)
