Many Rice parents took the opportunity to fly for the first time since the pandemic to visit Houston for graduation May 14 and 15. Suzanne Cole and Dan Bigelow boarded a plane from Philadelphia bearing “JIBA Class of 2021” face masks they had custom-made for the occasion (“JIBA,” of course, is shorthand for Jones College’s famous cheer: “Jones Is Bad Ass”) and wore them while waiting for their son, Warren Bigelow '21, to walk through the Sallyport in a matching mask of his own.
