Several weeks’ worth of Winter Events are planned for those staying in Houston over the holidays thanks to the Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS). So far, those Winter Events have included a Dec. 12 Houston Texans football game and an old-fashioned holiday party Dec. 14.

Celebrated outdoors with hot chocolate on a typically balmy Texas afternoon, the OISS holiday party included cookie decorating and festive music while students crafted traditional garlands out of popcorn, paper chains and hand-cut snowflakes.

Additional upcoming Winter Events for international students include a Dec. 21 crocheting class, a Dec. 29 lunch outing in Rice Village, a Jan. 4 trip to the Houston Zoo and a Jan. 6 visit to the Museum District.
