Family Coffee with Campus Leaders brought together parents and alumni Oct. 29

Ahead of a day full of receptions and reunions, Rice President David Leebron, Provost Reginald DesRoches and Dean of Undergraduates Bridget Gorman fueled up with coffee in the Ray Courtyard while visiting with alumni and parents Oct. 29.

The morning Family Coffee with Campus Leaders was just one of many events scheduled for this year’s Owl Together Week, which combines homecoming and parents’ weekend into one big bash. Though some events were offered virtually or in a hybrid format this year, many others were held in person outdoors, taking full advantage of the breezy fall weather.

In addition to Leebron, DesRoches and Gorman, college magisters posted up at tables under the trees along the Central Quad, welcoming parents and greeting past students. Attendees munched on fresh-baked muffins and fruit cups along with their coffee and orange juice, an ideal way to kick off a fun day of Rice family festivities.
