Conference USA has postponed Rice's first two football games, Oct. 3 at Marshall University and Oct. 10 against the University of Alabama at Birmingham at Rice Stadium.
No decision on new dates for the games has been announced.
The Owls are now scheduled to open the season Oct. 24 against Middle Tennessee State University at Rice Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m.
