Rice United Way Campaign off to strong start

United Way update

Through only three weeks, Rice’s annual United Way campaign has already raised $183,225 of the $250,000 goal.

The Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies has hit 100% participation. The School of Social Sciences leads campus with the most funds raised at $22,200, and the School of Engineering and Development and Alumni Relations are tied for the most donors, 26 each.

Pledges may be made by automatic payroll deduction, spread over all of 2021’s paychecks, via Esther. To give by check or credit card, or to designate any pledge — including a payroll pledge — to benefit a specific United Way agency, geographic area or community program or priority, Rice donors may use the pledge form available on the Rice United Way Campaign website, unitedway.rice.edu, where more information on the campaign is available.
