Rice United Way Campaign enters final days

United Way

As the Rice United Way Campaign enters its final days, the $279,604 raised campuswide has exceeded the $250,000 goal, and campaign leaders are optimistic that the final total will be even higher since pledges and donations will be accepted through Jan. 21.

Three campus divisions have hit 100% participation: Office of the President, Public Affairs and the Office of the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. Facilities Engineering and Planning has the most donors, 149. With $30,935 raised, Social Sciences leads the campus in total money contributed.

Pledges may be made by automatic payroll deduction, spread over all of 2020’s paychecks, via Esther through Jan. 21. To give by check or credit card, or to designate any pledge — including a payroll pledge — to benefit a specific United Way agency, geographic area or community program or priority, Rice donors may use the pledge form available on the Rice United Way Campaign website, unitedway.rice.edu, where more information on the campaign is available.
