A limited number of fans will be admitted to the Rice football team's final home game of the season Dec. 12 against the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the university has announced.
The game is scheduled for noon at Rice Stadium. Those eligible to request tickets have been sent an email with instructions.
COVID-19 protocols will be in place for those attending, including but not limited to wearing a mask at all times and sitting in a physically distanced manner.
Fans were prohibited from attending the Owls' only other home game, an Oct. 24 loss to Middle Tennessee State University, because of the pandemic.
Rice (2-2) is coming off a 20-0 victory Dec. 5 over then-No. 15 Marshall University, its first triumph over a top 25 opponent since 1997.
