Rice University designs low-cost ventilator
A team of Rice engineering experts and students collaborated with health design firm Metric Technologies to develop a prototype of a bag-valve mask ventilator that can be built for less than $300. Matthew Wettergreen, associate teaching professor at the Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen, is featured in a Fox News interview, and he is quoted in numerous other media outlets.
